It’s tough shopping for a photographer, but don’t fret! Below are the best photography gift ideas under $50 that will help you find the perfect gift that any adventure photographer will love, without breaking the bank!

The Photography Storytelling Workshop - $22

Finn Beales is a master storyteller and award-winning photographer, and this book offers a crash-course on telling a story through images. Whether your photographer is a novice or professional, anyone who picks up this book will learn something. From color-theory, shooting techniques, and even covering the business aspect of things, this book covers all the bases!

3 Legged Thing Universal L-Bracket - $49.99

3 Legged Thing has dominated the market with their high-quality L-Brackets, and is considered the best in the business. If you don’t know what kind of camera your photographer uses, no sweat! Pick up the universal design which fits most mirrorless and DSLR’s. L-Brackets are handy for landscape photographers to quickly swap their camera from horizontal to vertical (and vice versa) without having to readjust their tripod, and it also offers protection! My L-bracket from 3 Legged Thing is specific to my Nikon Z6, but the universal version is just as great!

Goal Zero Solar Crush Light Chroma - $24.99

This light, packable and solar-powered light is the perfect add-on for your photographers collection. They can clip it onto their backpack as they hike to their destination as it charges by solar, and comes with multiple color and brightness settings. It can be used to light up subjects in a shoot or light up their way home from a hike! I love the Crush Light because it folds completely flat and lasts for hours.

Domke 19-Inch Protective Wrap - $14.99

Domke has been making products in the USA since 1976. While they are most famous for their camera bags, their protective wraps happen to be my most favorite product that they make. You can use these wraps to protect anything, from cameras, to camera lenses, and even miscellaneous electronics that get tossed around in your photographers bag. Personally I use mine to protect my Goal Zero 100AC and a lens or two when I want to travel light and don’t want to carry my photography bag with me.

lowepro.jpg

Lowepro Gearup Camera Box - $33

Lowepro’s Gearup camera boxes and bags are perfect for organizing your camera gear, wires, SD cards. you name it! I personally use mine to store my GoPro Hero 7 and video gear, as well as additional camera accessories like cords, lens filters, cleaning cloths and the like.

Field Notes National Parks Series - $14.99

If your photographer happens to be a writer or likes to sketch, Field Notes are the perfect gift to add to their bag. Started by graphic designer Aaron Draplin, I’ve been writing and note-taking in Field Notes books for years, and these special edition National Parks series helps support our local parks! Normally they come in packs of three and currently feature 18 of America’s most popular National Parks.

Peak Design Leash Camera Strap - $39.95

Peak Design makes TONS of camera accessories and straps, but the ‘leash’ is by far my favorite! The anchor link system on this strap is the smallest of the bunch and I find it a lot less bulky, for it takes a more minimalist approach and doesn’t get in the way or tap against the camera. The strap also holds most cameras, from mirrorless to full-frame, and you can wear it as a sling (which is what I do mostly), neck or shoulder-strap!

uco.jpg

UCO Hundred Lumen LED Headlamp - $29.99

UCO is best known for their fire-starting kits (which I also always carry with me in case of an emergency) but have expanded their offerings into headlamps. This inexpensive, lightweight headlamp is always in my backpack for when shoots run late into the evening. I’ve used it multiple times on trails throughout the southwest after taking sunset and blue-hour shots, and is a necessity to have on hand for any adventure photographer!

Hey everyone! For the sake of transparency I want to be clear that all of the products on this page I own personally and use every time I’m out in the field. The links presented here are Amazon affiliate links and do provide a small kickback if you ultimately decide to make a purchase. Cheers!
